Grace worked hard to come back from a season on the sidelines due to a back injury. Tonight it paid off with some solid scores, and a nod from her coaches to move up to level 6. Congratulation Grace!
Isabel’s been at a friend’s house all week, so just Grace, Angela and I for the Baptism River high falls hike.
thankfully Molly and the boyz joined us at the Science Museum. Had they not, Molly wouldn’t have pointed out this photo for me. Grandma and Grandpa learning about the ancient people of Peru… Ahhh
Leaning about color and the wavelength of light at the Science Museum of Minnesota.
Two ready for the bus, one still organizing her lunch box.
Isabel putting in some piano time on her last night as an only child. Grace and Angela fly back from their California Cousins place tomorrow night.
Isabel determined that if she listened to a recording of her piano piece while she slept (on repeat – all night) her playing performance improved the next day. Interesting enough for one of the 1st place ribbons (they give out multiple 1st place ribbons).
Fantastic work Isabel!
Isabel had her game face on for the Snownami volleyball tournament today.
It’s Angela’s birthday tomorrow, and Isabel worked all afternoon to make sure it’s a sweet 16.
A multitasking study involving a memory game and sending text messages earned Grace 1st place at the regional science fair, and a trip to the state science fair in Minneapolis. Fantastic work Grace!
Isabel’s been preparing for the MFMC festival which is next weekend. She’s to play a beautiful piece of music called “Footprints in the Snow” by Jennifer Linn. Problem is with just a week left to prepare, I’m now calling it “Stomping in the Snow” by Huffbreath Hissyfit. 😉
noticed a theme in the last couple posts… thought I’d complete the trio.
-18°F (-28°C) at the bus stop the other morning… cold it was.
25°F today, a little windy, but for Angela, brutally cold.
Christmas at the Morey’s.
Finally, some winter weather.
This was the first concept. The scale of things didn’t work out the way I wanted and the dogs were a nightmare to get sitting by the fire.
I’ve got another idea in the works – fingers crossed.
The Christmas card remains a work in progress… While it may turn into a New Years card, I though I’d share one that didn’t make the cut.
